Wonder Woman 175 - The Witch & the Warrior 02

The Witch is Back.

So it begins the huge battle between the super-heroines and the female super-evils
at three new characters per frame speeds. It is so tough that the creators must the participants noted.

(and such pages are a good dozen)
Circe has parked the Air Force One at Times square, so Oracle guides Wonder Woman here. On the plane, there are Plastic Man (well tied), the Martian Manhunter, Beast Boy (as Gorilla), Joker (as Pan) and Lex Luthor. The arriving Wonder Woman is received by Silver Swan's scream, and then it is the main course: the monsterized (doomed?) Superman.

It begins the big fight which is spanning the whole booklet. Meanwhile, Wonder Woman is trying to pull at her JLA teammate's heartstrings, of course, in vain. In addition, Silver Swan's pigeons take her magic lasso. However, Circe and her lover, Cheetah are watching too preoccupied the spectacle, so Circe's daughter Lyta is baited by half-spider President Lex Luthor who is floundering in his own spider's web.

Cheetah notices the trouble firstly, he runs there, but too late, and he is entangled in Lex Luthor's web. It appears Luthor's ally, Joker (here, the creators still do not know that they have now been broken up and even are in wars) who jokerizes Circe.

Joker takes over control of the plane or would take over it if he is able to control by his goat hoofs. Cheetah is released quickly and Circe is retransformed too, but at that Luthor has also disentangled himself from his own web with Lyta between his chelicerae. He wants his human body and his plane in exchange for his hostage. Meanwhile, Joker successfully off the plane but he can't still control it. Wonder Woman is taking advantage of the confusion to recover her lasso from Silver Swan's pigeons. By the lasso, she can tie the monsterized Superman, and now she can pull at his heartstrings calmly.

It eventually affects, and Superman is retransformed to Superman. He goes to the Air Force One. By a well-aimed punch, he smashes the altar which maintains the magical force field. Plastic Man, Beastboy, and the Martian Manhunter are free immediately; Luthor and his men are retransformed too. Cheetah is taken care by Gypsy (she penetrated into the plane in the previous scene), Lyta is taken care by Plastic Man. Joker escapes from the cockpit, so the plane starts to fall. Wonder Woman hast to keep it in the air and carry it out to sea where they can land on. Full Happy End, Superman and Wonder Woman can cry finally.

Well, Phil Jimenez's story is tough: It is obviously the he determined to align all super-heroines and female super evils. The gist of the story is really good and well written (I am especially thinking about what happened on the Air Force One, and between Wonder Woman and Circe). It is eventful and exciting enough without much depth. Changing Superman to monster was also good, but the half a booklet of fighting was rather tiresome. The idea of changing of superheroes to animal hunted them by female super-evils was more ridiculous than incredible evil. And the super-heroine tsunami is absolutely ridiculous. The drawer was also Jimenez itself, although in the second (double) booklet, Brandon Badeaux also helped. His professional knowledge is practically perfect. He is incredibly professional. He can draw faces by a few lines. He draws Circe the best. The only objection (because the lot of players) is that he didn't have enough time to draw well-developed facial expressions for everyone, and in the second booklet, he hadn't enough time yet for the main characters.
