In funniest day, in craziest night!
Clark Kent and Lois Lane have just decided to never come out of their
rooms but rather occupy themselves with each other.
But Kent feels the presence
of Joker, so he has to go. Lois tries in vain to make him remain: Superman
dresses and flies out through window. During the rescuing, he wonders Lois' behaviour:
She has yet never asked him at rescue time to stay with her, maybe the death of
her father causes of it. Then he is suddenly looking around.
And he sees that everybody is jokerized by the Joker-rain, even the
Green Lantern is jokerized as well.
From here, a bizarre and crazy story begins in which Superman and Batman
attempt to antijokerize the Green Lantern. (Chuck Dixon should explain that
they already have the antidote.) Finally they can lure out Joker's spirit from
Kyle Rayner.
At the end, even Superman and Batman schmooze a bit, that is not happy
ending, because Superman learns something about Batman, what he should not have
(I think it is still the Our Worlds at War).
The beginning of Joe Kelly's story is enjoyably but after two pages, it
turns to a bizarre bullshit, and the gruelling schmooze of Superman and Batman
can't help it. Duncan Rouleau's draws are energetic, lively, rough and strange
(it means bizarre). This and the flashy colouring fit the madness of the story.
But he so can’t draw faces that it's still annoying.
