Conclusion!
The hairy situation is approaching to the end, and Chuck Dixon does not
simplify the story, in fact, he complicates it compared to the previous issue
also.
It looks that he has listen to me :) It will be lot of action. We left it
Deathstroke to start the penetration into Gorilla City.
Dinah is in big trouble because she now needs to take Oracle's computer
whiz capabilities. Grodd is already getting suspicious and he threats to kill
Lady Vic. Fortunately, Dinah makes them to believe that it is essential the
internet for checking of the DNA database. The protective shield system around
the city is switched off, so Oracle can do the job instead of Dinah, and even the
can identify Gorilla
City also. She sends the
coordinates to the cavalry which is provided by Blockbuster. But Dinah and Lady
Vic are still in trouble, because they want to kill them after finding of the
appropriate heart donor (who is none other that Grodd's chief lieutenant).
It is come the girls' turn when Grodd is informed about the intruder. Of
course, it immediately slips out from Lady Vic's mouth that this is Deathstroke
from. Dinah's comment ("Smooth move Pollyanna") is the best, maybe
only one joke of the booklet.
(Why have I praised the progress of Butch Guice in face drawing?)
And now it finally starts the action.
The girls split.
They quickly run into Deathstroke who desperately wants Grodd, so they
go with him to the surgery. Grodd just runs away, but if they are already here,
they quickly stow the heart which has been operated off, they take it under
their arms, and go.
Our breaking out heroes is welcomed by a Butch Cassidyan total fire, but
in the best moment, it is appearing the cavalry, Mace.
Mace rescues Black Canary and leaves the rest in the trouble.
Dinah and the gorilla heart are in the way back
plane when in Blockbuster's house, the doctors determine the time of death.
That's it.
See ya.
I have already told the positive comments at the beginning about Chuck
Dixon's story, but the finish is pretty any. First, This Deus ex Machina is
strongly reminiscent of the last time when Superman intervened. And anyway,
what is about the others? What is about Blockbusterrel? What was the point of
it all? And so really, it was very inconsistent throughout the three-part story
as well. How did they believe Dinah that she was Oracle, since they found
Barbara's hideout by the communication between Dinah and Oracle, so they were
obviously two different people (and it was pretty clear that Lady Vic fought
with Dinah in Hasaragua, so she was not in Gotham). On the other hand, why
didn't Dinah come out of the whole deal, man, when she could it after the
gorilla raid (since she would settle Blockbuster by it also)? The story itself
was quite pale too, and at last issue, Chuck Dixon produced everything as
possible. Butch Guice is still very bad. And is still lot of pink (Believe me
Shannon, it is not everyone's favorite color).
Mace's plane is driven by his girlfriend, so I’ve labeled her too.
