The Grim Creeper.
In this rather confusing story, Superboy has to
fight the Jokerized Creeper who wants to blow up the editorial office of the
Daily Planet.
The Joker venom has weird affected the Grinch-like Creeper: he
has become dismal and more strength, he can turn Superboy's superpower against
Superboy by some super-power judo technique. So our hero has only one chance:
he has to make Creeper laugh Creaper to pass the impact of the Joker Venom. To
achieve this goal, he and the members of the editorial staff perform a revue in
female dress.
But since it is completely ineffective, he
drags Creeper with himself, and the bomb and jumps out the window. While they
are falling Superboy is lamenting without end which Creeper thinks irresistibly
funny.
After the laughing has burst out him, he
transforms back, Superboy regains his super strength, so they touch the ground
unharmed, in addition, the bomb (which has been acquired from a journalist
terrorist group) does not explode.
The Story of Eddie Berganza and Joe Kelly to
say the least is a tedious bullshit. The only appreciable point is Joker's
narration with (really) funny remarks to readers, but it also seems rather
self-serving after a while.
Pascual Ferry's draws are caricature-like
excessive but pleasant, they are definitely better than the story. He draws
Joker best who is made a much more grotesque than the others.
